manufacturing facility located in Milton, Ontario.

The Assistant Branch Manager plays a key role in the daily operations of the branch, with a primary focus on managing warehouse functions and inventory control. This position ensures operational efficiency and supports the Branch Manager in driving performance across key operational areas including receiving, inventory management, shipping, and warehouse safety. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all warehouse operations including receiving, order pulling, packing, loading, and shipping.
Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and resolving inventory discrepancies.
Coordinate replenishment and purchasing activities to maintain stock levels and support fill rate goals.
Investigate and resolve product damage and shipping discrepancies, implementing corrective action plans.
Ensure warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards are upheld.
Process returns and warranties efficiently and in compliance with company policies.
Support payroll activities and help manage labor scheduling.
Ensure accurate bin locations and manage inventory layout and flow.
Maintain branch vehicles and coordinate necessary repairs or maintenance.
Work collaboratively with purchasing, sales, and other departments to ensure seamless branch operations.
Serve as acting branch manager in their absence.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
3+ years of experience in warehouse operations or inventory management, with leadership responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory systems, and safety regulations.
Effective problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to lift and move materials up to [insert weight], and operate warehouse equipment as needed.
Proficiency in MS Office and warehouse management systems (WMS).
Must be detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment.
