Reporting to the Director of CIP and Automation, this position is responsible for analyzing and interpreting data from manufacturing processes to optimize operations, enhance efficiency, and support decision-making in automated environments.

 Key Responsibilities:

Process Analysis: Evaluate current production processes and workflows to identify opportunities for automation and improvement.

System Design: Design, implement, and optimize automated systems and processes to enhance efficiency and minimize manual labor.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate automation technologies, such as robotics and software solutions, into existing systems.
Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for potential automation projects.

Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and standard operating procedures.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the performance and reliability of automated systems, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal operation.

Training and Support: Provide training and ongoing support to staff on new automated systems and processes.
Industry Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in automation and industrial engineering.

Dashboard Development: Develop and maintain dynamic dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress over time.

Trend Identification: Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in production data to recommend actionable improvements.

Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and operations teams to implement data-driven strategies for process optimization and continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.

5 years related experience; or an equivalent in combination of education and experience.

Six Sigma Certification a plus 

Proven experience in industrial engineering with a focus on automation.

Strong knowledge of automation technologies, including PLCs, robotics, and process control systems.

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills,

Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., CAD, simulation software).

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Experienced working in manufacturing environment.
