JOB DESCRIPTION
The ideal candidate will have experience in operating press brakes and decoiling machines, with a strong emphasis on setup, die changes, and quality control. This role involves working with metal materials to produce precision parts, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate press brake and decoiling machinery to fabricate metal parts according to engineering specifications.
- Perform setup and adjust machine settings, including selecting and installing appropriate dies for various projects.
- Conduct die changes efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining production schedules.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine work requirements.
- Monitor machine operations and product quality throughout the production process, adjusting as necessary to meet quality standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues with machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and quality protocols.
- Record production data and report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining or manufacturing is a plus but not required.
- Proven experience as a press brake and decoiling operator, with a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of tooling setup, die changes, and machine calibration techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing environment is a must.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50lbs.) and stand for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating machinery and performing precise tasks.
