Summary
Lead the development, execution, and implementation of product development projects coordinating the deliverables of all cross-functional activities (Engineering, Operations, S/M, Purchasing, and Finance). This product engineering management role will own the overall process starting with a business case (NPR) through the production implementation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Leading project planning sessions to define deliverables, key milestones, and deliverables
· Lead responsibility to execute the product development process and implementation of new products (including the execution of engineering disciplines – FMEA, DV, problem solving, etc)
· Managing product implementation progress and adapt work as required
· Coordination & collaboration of cross-functional resources
· Ensuring project meet deadlines and customer expectations
· Managing relationships with customers and stakeholders
· Overseeing all incoming and outgoing product development documentation
· Participating in product development process (i.e. design, submission and review)
· Develop risk mitigation plan
· Conducting project reviews (technical and commercial) and creating detailed reports for executive leadership
· Ensure product meets customer expectations and product standards
· Optimize and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary
· Identify growth opportunities and initiate new product opportunities in conjunction with S/M Product Managers
· Managing complex products within large and diverse teams
Leadership Responsibilities
Directly coordinating and/or supervises employees in Engineering Department at the company headquarters, including Product Development Engineers, CAD resources, and supplier partners. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable discipline and at least 10 years related technical plus managerial experience; or an equivalent in combination of education and experience.
Master’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or equivalent disciplines is preferred.
