JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk with bilingual proficiency in English and French. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable processes, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication skills. This position plays a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate payment processing for
the company.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process and manage vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
• Verify and reconcile discrepancies between purchase orders, invoices, and receipts
• Review and process employee expense reports
• Handle all incoming inquiries related to accounts payable from vendors and internal departments in both English and French
• Ensure timely payment of invoices, adhering to payment terms
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes by ensuring all accounts payable transactions are accurately recorded
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve invoice discrepancies or payment issues
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and sensitive data
• Perform other administrative duties related to accounts payable as needed
• Reconcile vendor statements
• Reconcile Goods Received Not Invoiced
Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French (both written and spoken) is required
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes is required
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) is required
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills are required
• Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines as directed by management
• Must have strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages with vendors and internal stakeholders
• High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information
• Knowledge of Canadian and international tax regulations as they pertain to accounts payable
EDUCATION:
- HS or equivalent level of education is required
