Purchasing Analyst
Job Description

Responsibilities include:
· Update and maintain supplier/vendor master data and information in Dexter’s ERP in support of the purchasing team.
· Responsible to store all agreements and documents needed for Dexter’s purchasing team consistently and accurately in Microsoft TEAMS/ARIBA contract module and/or any other method to store documents electronically.
· Issue purchase orders to suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers for the corporate suppliers and engineering function.
· Ensure that orders are received and acknowledged by the suppliers to deliver on time.
· Work closely with cross-functional departments to ensure products purchased are aligned with and in accordance to the needs of the company
· Maintain supplier NDA’s, supplier insurance documentation, country of origin, and any other supplier related documents
· Develop and maintain process to make sure the vendor master for newly acquired company's documentation is consistent and within the scope of processes in Dexter’s ERP.
Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
· Experience working as a purchasing assistant within manufacturing industry is preferred
· An understanding of steel manufacturing product or related markets
· Excellent interpersonal and social skills
· Proficient in Microsoft tools (Excel, Powerpoint, PowerBI)
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Flexible to travel to meet with suppliers, distributors and manufacturers as required
· Travel is minimal and would be mainly to other Dexter sites as needed
