Summary
This position is a primary contact for all customer concerns and warranty issues post sale. This position shall provide technical assistance and support to both new and existing customers in the installation and maintenance of axles and suspension systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Consult with clients after sale to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support
- Assess clients' needs, recommend or assist in the selection of appropriate goods or services
- Provide input into product design engineering based on field feedback from end users
- Respond, evaluate and expedite warranty claims
- Estimate costs of installation or repair
- Must be mechanically inclined and hands-on in investigation and customer assistance
- Basic and/or formal problem solving and skills
- Knowledge of axle and heavy duty braking system is an asset
- Understanding of wheel alignment (caster, camber, toe in/out)
- Attention to detail and documentation utilizing available technology – computer and smartphone literacy (photo documentation of issues & evidence, log observations, corrections, actions, recommendations)
- Computer Literacy – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
- Coordination of testing (brake certification, post-failure analysis investigation)
- Active Participation in Industry Associations regarding best practices, industry standards and regulatory issues: CTEA, TMC, ATA
- Participate in cross functional collaboration with Marketing, Customer Service & Sales, etc in the support necessary for training (internal and customer) , customer visits/events and tradeshows & conferences.
- Offer training in the installation, operation and maintenance of our products
- Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Sales as required to resolve issues and ensure customer needs and expectations are met
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Ability to travel throughout Canada and sometimes into the USA/Mexico as required.

Education and/or Experience
- Post secondary education in a technical field of study is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in heavy duty truck/trailer experience preferred.
