Replacing Your RV Roof Vent Fan and Motor
Time: Ten minutes
Required Tools & Materials:
- Ventadome (V2094-501-46)
- Fan Blade (BVD0215-00)
- Motor (BVD0218-00)
- #2 Phillips Screwdriver
- Pliers
Steps:
- Disconnect the power from your Ventadome®.
- Remove the screen by carefully pulling it up.
- Pull the fan blade off the motor by gently lifting upward on the fan blade.
- Remove the wires from the motor by pulling them off with pliers.
- Unscrew the motor with a #2 Phillips Screwdriver.
- Using the new motor, connect the black wire (lead) to the motor with the red dot.
- Connect the white wire to the opposite side of the black wire.
- Line up the motor on the bracket and screw it in with two screws.
- Press the new fan blade onto the motor shaft. Hold the bracket while you push the fan blade down.
- When the fan blade is on correctly, it should not hit anything as it spins.
- Reinstall the screen by pressing it on.
- Reconnect the power to the Ventadome.
